Background

Prof. Barak Orbach is the Robert H. Mundheim Professor of Law & Business at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law and the founding director of its Business Law Program. His work focuses on antitrust, regulation, corporate governance, corporate compliance, AI governance, the digital economy and the legal and institutional implications of dynamic technologies.

He advises public bodies, companies, boards and investors on high-stakes competition, regulatory and governance questions. His scholarship and advisory work examine the operation of markets, institutions and technology under conditions of legal and economic complexity.

His prior experience includes practice at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in New York and service as a law-and-economics advisor at the Israel Competition Authority. He holds graduate law degrees from Harvard Law School and degrees from Tel Aviv University.
